The Girl Who Was Born With Only 2 Bones Analysis
Jaimee sanford

Have you ever gotten teased for being different or for not being the same as everyone else? You should never believe them because in their heart they just want to be different too. It says in the quote “don't be afraid to be different, be afraid of being the same as everyone else.” I believe you should follow this rule because it is saying you are perfect the way you are and you shouldn’t worry about being different worry about being the same as everyone else I believe Quarta in the story The Girl Who Was Born With Only 2 Arms And 2 Legs by Stuart Baum should follow this rule.

I have been teased for being different multiple of times. Believe me it is not pretty or easy it feels like a shock of lightning through your heart and a stab in the back. But this is only a small part of your life remember there is another day waiting for you tomorrow, this supports my claim because it is showing that it’s ok to be different because you can make it through it with a lot of life to spare.

Your 80 year-old great aunt, Persis, was placing a canning jar on the top shelf of her pantry when she stepped awkwardly off the stool and twisted her leg at the hip. She felt a sharp pain in her hip and, after collapsing to the floor, found she could no longer stand. She was taken to the emergency room where an X ray showed that the neck of her femur was fractured. More detailed X ray images revealed reduced bone mass in the head and neck regions of the injured femur, in the ends of other long bones of the body and in the vertebrae. Surgery was necessary to repair the fractured femur and a biopsy of the bone tissue indicated that the composition of the osteoid was normal. Healing of the fractured femur is proceeding slowly.…

Have you ever been the odd one out, and you just want to fit in? Well in the story “The Girl who was Born with only Two Arms and Two legs” by Stuart Baum, Quarta the main character felt anything but fit in. The problem was she only had two arms and two legs while all the other kids had four arms and four legs. Because of that Quarta was very underestimated. For that reason Quarta is treated differently, and nobody wanted to be her friend.…

Conformity goes too far it takes away a person's individuality. In the book Equality realizes as a kid that he is not like the other children in his society. He gets punished for being different and gets left out of the crowd. It shows him and others kids that being different is not good in a society. In this quote equality is being told by a teacher how is not the same as the other kids. The teacher is telling him he has evil in bones because he is different. ¨Ever have the Teachers and the leaders pointed to us and frowned and said: ¨There is evil in your bones, Equality 7-2521, for your body has grown beyond the bodies of your brothers.¨ But we cannot change our bones nor our body.¨(18) This is an important quote because it shows that being…

Striving to be someone else in today’s society is a very common theme. Wanting to be someone different does not necessarily mean that they want to be just like another person that they see somewhere or a person that they look up to. Sometimes as humans in today’s society, they might simply want to be a better version of themselves.…

Having read your article: ‘Being different will only result in tears’ I can understand your point of view although I can’t help but disagree. Your personal experience may be true, moreover, it is only one story...out of a possible 7 billion! You said that being unique will only mean you are picked on, but in my opinion this is not true as people look up to someone with a new style and it is often emulated, how else would fashions start?…

Another thing everyone considered conforming is wearing makeup, I literally cannot go into public without doing my makeup. The little make-up that I do wear is nothing too fancy. I mean, I don’t want to get noticed or stand out or attempt to make my face look better than anyone else’s. Really, my only goal when I wear make-up is just to make myself look presentable. When I put on the make-up, I am not trying to be like everyone else, I am just trying to make myself feel better about the way I look. Because of how I was treated when I was younger, for the way I look, I changed the way I thought about myself and the way I felt I needed to look in order for that not to happen again.…
