Irene looked back making sure no one was close enough to get hit with the flogger when she swung back. She lifted the flogger and smacked down whipping her diagonally then quickly whipped in the other direction making an X over and over. Her sub scream and moaned. He saw how he scolded himself by shaking his head. Sherlock saved this bit

I believe the the original ending to the short story “Button, Button” creates the best impact on the audience. The ending of this version teaches a lesson about how selfishness and greed can lead to terrible events happening. In the Twilight Zone adaptation of the story, when Norma pushes the button, she receives the money and is told someone she doesn’t know will be given the reprogrammed box. After the suspense was built, the ending was completely uneventful and exactly the offer that was promised with no abnormality or hidden consequence like in the other forms of the story. The movie “The Box,” was least like the original story because it was a test. The ending of killing and sacrificing made the story less relatable because of its complexity…

After what seemed like hours Dr. Stanpole came out to tell us the news. He told us something we never expected. Phineas severed his spine. He was paralyzed from the waist down and would never be able to walk again. He said that Phineas needed rest so everyone should go back to their rooms. Everyone left but I was frozen. An ending is the most crucial part of a book. Not only does it conclude the whole book, but it can also give the reader a whole new interpretation to what the book is about. ¡®The Lord of the Flies¡¯ by William Golding is a typical book that illustrates this point. Without the ending, the book would hardly amount to half of its true value. This is because the ending shows what the book is really about. If one does not read the last part of the book, one will not be able to see the crucial meaning of what the author wants to say. The ending of ¡®The Lord of the Flies¡¯ is not a happy one. It is very ironic and shocking, in a way. Of course, it is literally a ¡°happy ending¡±, however, it leaves somewhat a bitter feeling in us. However bitter…

The purpose of giving the play a tragic ending is to hone in on the aftermath of the Salem Witch trials. In the lines, “Hale weeps in frantic prayer, and the new sun is pouring in upon her face, and the drums rattle like bones in the morning air.” (145), Miller shows the despair lingering in the air. Hale’s prayer shows the grief felt for the many innocent men and women who were falsely accused and executed. Another purpose for giving the play a tragic ending is to get the audience to reflect on the last scene. Miller shows the lasting hint of despair, while showing hope replacing despair. He does this by using the theater effects of the rising sun. He inspires the audience by showing them that even during the toughest times, the sun still…
