Ethnic groups, social classes, political groups, and even nations are all part of the conflicts that happen between groups. These conflicts have always occurred in history and will continue to, as long as there is history to be made. One of the main conflicts in the Industrial Revolution was the factory workers revolting against the higher power, also known as their employers. In the time of the Industrial Revolution, the amount of child labor was beyond normality. Not only were they treated badly and got beatings, but no one could say anything about it because it would mean that they would lose their job and their families would be in grave trouble. Not only the children, but also the workers deserved much more than they got payed. During the Industrial Revolution, there was a lot of countries competing for resources, which caused a significant amount of conflict. Since the population was growing, countries had a high demand for more resources to support their growing population. However, limited resources were still in full effect and there was a lot of competition for them. Geography affects many things including the economic resources a country has available to it, a country’s development and culture, and it even affects a country's technological and economic development. Resources were found in different countries all throughout the Industrial Revolution. This made trade really flourish because countries that didn’t have a particular goods or resource trade with the country that did and vice versa. However, the resources in different countries caused conflict and competition, which is another theme of history. Another example of geography was the resources that were being used as energy. Since different countries had access to different kinds of materials, each country developed their own power sources using what they had at hand.
