As a matter of fact, symbols are important to the Venezuelan culture. Venezuela's precious symbol is an image of General Simon Bolivar. He led the military that freed Venezuela's independence and neighboring countries(Everyculture.com). In Venezuela, the citizens have statues of him and named places dedicated to him. Another important symbol is the Caribbean Coast along with the Lake Maracaibo. The lake and and coastline reflect a symbolic relationship of the country with the the Caribbean and South America(Everyculture.com). Not only is Venezuela's flag is symbolic, but it's color too.
