The First Stage Of Erikson's Psychosocial Development
The first stage in Erikson’s psychosocial development is oral-sensory, where the crisis experienced is basic trust versus basic mistrust. During this stage, children learn to trust their caretaker as long as the manner in which they accept things correlates with society’s manner of giving things, thus developing basic trust. A child can develop mistrust if there is no correlation between their oral needs and the environment. If a child successfully resolves this stage, they will gain the virtue of hope, if not, they will develop the maladaptive tendency of sensory maladjustment or the malignancy of withdrawal. With sensory maladjustment, the child has received too must trust and will believe the world will consent them whereas withdrawal,

    After closely reviewing Erikson’s eight stages of life I find that currently I am facing his seventh stage. This stage is known as Generatively VS. Stagnation it happens when you are a mature adult. This stage I see myself as because I am needed in the life that I am living.
