The essay of life
In order to help me understand and remember what I read, I make sure that I always use a dictionary as a reference and that makes it easier to proceed to the next sentence. In addition to that, I write down the important events and highlight the words and characters. I also proofread my paper to ensure it is error free. In order to write a good essay or paper, it is necessary to be in a peaceful environment to avoid distractions. Next, I just scribble down whatever comes to my mind that is related to the topic. After a while, I would read what I’ve written and choose the ideas that would have good points and would be interesting to write about. Then, I would make my first draft and after finishing it, I’d read it all over again and do the editing until I’m satisfied with what I’ve written. One of my greatest strengths as a writer is that I am extremely careful concerning details and I always show great attention them. However, being carried away by my emotions is one of my weaknesses.

Describe the reading and comprehension strategies you will employ. How will these help make you a more effective reader? The reading and comprehension strategies that I will employ are marking and reading comprehension. Some other strategies I will employ are vocabulary skills such as using context to determine the definition of words and writing down unfamiliar terms. Utilizing marking helps me to better highlight and outline key points for better understanding. Reading with comprehension helps me to better focus and concentrate on readings. This makes sure I am better prepared for assignments and exams.…

I approroach this week’s reading by printing everything out so I will have all course work and chapters in front of me. Then I read the entire chapter taking note in my own word so I can understand them better. When I have all my notes and key headings marked out, I read the assignments to see if I read the answer. Sometimes I’ll read the chapter over again to make sure I didn’t miss anything important in my notes. I even reread my notes a couple of time to make sure they make sense, but before I do any type of finial paper I search the library to find more info if I quite don’t understand.…

To be honest, I have always used my emotions when I write, whether it is for a hobby or for my work in college. My emotions have always helped me push through assignments that I considered difficult and taking a position on projects that required me to take a side. However, my emotional style of writing was not able to overcome this new style of writing that my rhetorical communications professor introduced to me. I will admit it, I did get aggravated in the beginning of the class because this kind of writing was unfamiliar to me. But I began to broaden my horizons on how I write and properly communicating my own ideas which led me to develop my theory of writing through four major assignments that was given to me. The theory of writing that I have developed over the semester involves adapting my writing style in order to fit what is required for the paper. What this means is that my writing style is constantly changing rather than being fixed on only one style of writing. Due to my…

As every decision or implementation of the United Nations may also have setbacks or bring negative results, I consider both the pros and cons whatever the question is in my daily life. For most of the time, I am trying to make the paper I write as comprehensive and logical as possible, covering all the ideas I’ve encountered. However, such writing also results in an ossified writing pattern; as I am trying to be objective and professional, my words are usually not emotional, and especially, lack of rhetoric. I had an especially hardship writing my college application last year, when I had to let the admission officer feel the changes from my inner heart. It seems that I am in good command of writing academic thesis, but somehow forget the original function of words, which is to express one’s feelings. I am not fully assertive of what does a college level essay look like, but I assume English class essays not to be formal. I gradually understand besides picturing myself as file author, I also need to develop my skills to become an emotional…
