The End Of Odysseus Of Homer's Odyssey

The ending of the last book Odysseus was asked to tell his story about himself and where he came from.In this point of the book Odysseus had not told the king Alcinious his name.Odysseus had finally told the men his name and where he came from he also told them that he had fought in the Trojan War.Odysseus begin to tell his story about when he left Troy and he was stranded on the island of Ciconions.He was later driven out by the neighboring town.Odysseus sailed for nine days,lost until he landed on the island of lotus-eaters.

Odysseus had sent two men and a speaker to go find the natives of the island.The men came across the lotus-eaters which they then offered Odysseus men lotus.As soon as the men ate the lotus they had forgotten about their journey home to Ithaca.Odysseus found his men and brought them all back to the ship.Odysseus told the other men not to eat the lotus.Odysseus and his men left the island and contineued to sail.
