With the advancement of technology which has brought to the light the emergence of television, which intend brought to bear easy accessibility to issues, news, advertisement, learning etc. On the contrary, this emergence of television has contributed and yet still contributing negative influences on the behavior of children today. Nowadays more and more adults are alarmed with the negative effect of television on their children. Even parents and educators have expressed concern over the possibility that the content of mass media, particularly film, might have influence children’s rate and expression of aggressive behavior. Children upbringing is a long, stressful and complex process. Atmospheres in family and at school also influence character and behavior of a child. In the last few years television impact also became the main leisure activity: Children devote more time to television watching than reading books, talking to parents or friends, school studies etc. Television wins certain authority among new generation. Children often follow and copy the model of behavior of their favorite characters, thus they tend to copy the negative behavior of their favorite character and try to demonstrate it. Therefore television watching have some aspect of negative behavior on children today. Given below are some vital points on how television affects children both positively and negatively. First of all, television can affect learning and school performance if it cut into the time kids need for activities crucial to healthy, mental and physical development.
