The Drug Cartel La Familia Micho
The body of the founder and former leader of the drug cartel La Familia Michoacana was one of four discovered early this morning at a toll booth on the Siglo 21 freeway between Uruapan and Cuatro Caminos in Michoacán.
Carlos Rosales Mendoza, known as “El Tísico” or “El Carlitos,” founded the cartel in the 1980s. An alliance with the Gulf Cartel, led by friend and associate Osiel Cárdenas Guillén, led to a merger of the two organizations.
Rosales’ body showed signs of severe torture when it was found in the parking lot of the Santa Casilda toll booth. All four bodies had been dumped there. The drug lord had been released from prison in May 2014 after serving 10 years on organized crime charges. He was arrested again the following August on

    On June 3rd, 2012 five bodies were found burned to a crisp inside of a sport utility vehicle about sixty miles south of Phoenix, Arizona in Pinal County.
