The Day Muffin Died: A Short Story
Lisa’s Cat

The day Muffin died was a huge disaster, at least to Lisa it was.
The whole thing had happened on a sunny and enjoyable afternoon. Lisa Louise had just come home from school after saying goodbye to her friend who had walked with her. “Oh, Lisa, I feel so sorry for you. It’s okay, let it out, you’ll feel much better,” Angel comforted.
“Thank you, Angel,” Lisa sobbed.
It actually had made Lisa feel much more at ease the next day, but still, she missed her cat. So on the weekend, when Lisa went to her piano lesson, Angel found Lisa’s parents and talked to them.
Ding!
Mrs. Louise opened the door. “Oh, it’s Angel! Hi, did you come to see Lisa?” Mrs. Louise greeted Angel with a warm

The play begins with Lisa dancing around by herself in a dance studio waiting for her father to pick her up. When her father arrives, although he seems happy to her, he is in a rush to get home. He asks her how she did in her show, but in my opinion, the ques-tion didn't sound sincere. The author makes it quite obvious in the opening of the play that Paul was not involved in his daughter's life.…
