The 8th grade finished and both went onto high school sadly forgotten about one another. Finally school was staring at Magnolia High school of course first days are always exciting! Both walked into their 5th period class which was English they saw

I’ve lived in the same place for nine years. I really only know England. Due to that, I have never been to a public school. From kindergarten to now, I’ve been in Dodea schools. I met my best friends Ashleigh, and Kerry in kindergarten. We got lucky and were in the same class from then to fourth grade. Sadly, Kerry moved at the end of third grade, and Ashleigh moved winter break of fourth.…

It was a sunny afternoon in the spring when 9th grader Paulette's life was forever change. It started as an average day, for an average girl, in an average town, as though we all thought. As the school day was over at Immaculate Conception, Paulette Raney approaches her bus to Orange (a town in New Jersey). She takes her seat in the back, just like every day. While reading a book, she's interrupted and looks up with her beautiful hazel- green eyes to find a young man in front of her. His name was Spencer Salomon, a 9th grader, who asked her politely, "Is it okay if I sit next to you?" She said yes and moved her bags for him to sit. On the bus ride home that day they both talked, laughed and smiled with one another. As Paulette’s stop approached, she got up and Spencer said to her, “I hope I get to hang out with you sometime soon, you’re such a lovely girl.” It was what you called, love at first sight. From that day, they knew that nothing will ever be the same. It was the start of something new and beautiful.…

We got to do a lot of shopping and decorating rather than sleepovers and long nights out with the friends. School was just around the corner and I have never had to go into a new school as a teenager and try to make new friends, it was something that made me really nervous and I wasn’t too sure if it was something exciting to be experienced, I just thought if it was anything like my old high school I was not going to be excited. My plan was to go in and only have to take a few classes so I could try and avoid that whole making new friend’s part. I didn’t know how to make new friends; I’ve never had to make new ones so it was a lesson to be learned. My first day of school came quickly I tried my best to make some kind of excuse so I wouldn’t have to go. The school was so much different, it was tiny, one story high and a quarter of the class size of my old high school. I was used to climbing up three stories of stairs like I was climbing Mount Everest and being practically out of air by the time I reached the top. No doubt about it this was a whole new…

II. Last year I was at Dakota high school. It was pretty awkward on the first day of school cause I only knew a few people, but by the next day I made some new friends. It is kind of annoying because I have a lot of classes with freshman since Dakota and ford take opposite classes. For example Dakota takes Algebra 1 as a freshman and ford takes geometry.…

Time for school! Time for school! Are you excited? There was once a time when I was excited about going to school. I use to organize all of my school supplies trying to make sure I had everything that I needed. And I even use to pick out my own school clothes the night before, anxious to put them on. There were times when I thought that I’d oversleep, so I would sleep in my school clothes so that I could be already dressed and ready to go. My elementary school years were the most exciting for me though. I actually use to look forward to going to my school. Loughman Oaks Elementary was the school I attended and no one could tell me that it wasn’t the absolute best school in the world. Loughman Oaks use to have this ceremony called “Outdoor…

It was my first day. I took a deep breath and walked in the door with a fear of being embarrassed and frustrated. The smell of french toast and egg omelettes for breakfast. I grabbed an ice cold water from the cafeteria and headed to my first class. Kids of all grades were scattered right and left in the halls. Students struggling to open their lockers. Teachers rushed to get their work ready before the students arrived for class. Everything was very hectic and way more different than middle school.…
