The Darkest Path Character Analysis

I feel that I connect most with Bear a character in the book The Darkest Path. Bear is a dog however, he has many humanlike qualities that make him an essential part of the story. I am like Bear because i'm loyal; he is loyal because never leaves his companion Callum. Callum found Bear when he was out searching to find dogs for the kennel that he worked for. Callum worked inside a Path Military Base. He wanted Bear because he was a dog that was not trained yet and he didn't want Bear to suffer the hardships of the kennel. Once Callum escaped the base, him and Bear became much more reliant on each other. Bear helped him escape the Path, to find water when they both needed it in the desert, and mostly because Bear was his companion. According
