This case study will attempt to give a summary of the life of Christopher John Francis Boone (C) as described in the book “The curious incident of the dog in the night-time”, by Mark Haddon (2013). It will seek to clarify the diagnostic criteria of Autism Disorder Spectrum (ADS) and its associated features, based on his behaviours, symptoms and characteristics and a diagnosis will be made. The study will discuss the biological, psychological, social and developmental factors contributing to Christopher’s functioning, as well as the role and the effects of these factors on the family. A treatment plan will be formulated specific to Christopher and will include interventions that have shown effectiveness in children with similar problems.
