The reason for choosing this theme was because of the many small things that lead to another. In the play the girls got caught dancing. It lead to witchcraft later on in the play. It lead from one thing to something bigger. They asked why Proctor did not go to church. He said he did not believe in what Parros had to say. He would rather work in the fields. Everyone should go to church. they do not know what they are missing when they don not go. With Proctor staying at home was more important to him. He could work and get things accomplished. Never did he have to worry about going to church and being confronted. That is how Proctor felt during this time.
Overall the theme really tied in well with the story. There was many more reasons behind this theme. But only the main ones were listed. Do not let these things lead to bigger ones. Just get it over with the first time. Then you have nothing to really worry about. In this play they did not really do that. They made things harder than they really were. They should have just solved the issues in the beginning. It should not have escalated like it did. So that is what the theme of this paper is basically saying. Just do not let problems get bigger. Solve them the first time and be done with
