The Crucible Reputation
The theme of “The crucible” by Arthur Miller is, a good reputation. In this historical play, of the Puritans from the late 17th century, that lives in a small town name Salem in the province of Massachusetts that goes through a social and psychological drama due to the witch trials.
In Salem social standing is the vocal point of religious rules. Their name is the only way they can get a fair hearing. During the witchcraft accusation, reputation meant nothing. However, reputation made Reverend Hale suspicious whether the accused individuals were guilty.
