The Creation of Adam
The Creation of Adam is a painting of Michelangelo's fresco Sistine Chapel ceiling 1511 years. It is take to illustrates from the Binlical story from the Book of Genesis in which God the Father breathes life into Adam, the first man come to the new world.

In the painting, the man who is the Adam is painted at the right side of the painting, he is naked, body shows more muscular, looks feel relax, laening against rock, and giving his to old man. Next, the old man in the painting who is the God of father, he is surrounded by angels, covered by white silk-robe and he also has a white bearded. In addition, there are more angels surrounded to the God of father, they are holding the God and one of the angel is covered with a green cloth. There also has a big dark red cloak cover around the God and angels.

Through to the painting, we dont know why two of them giving their finger pointing each other, is that meaning of this proportion to them? So, through the research show that many artist explain the God of Father is giving the new life to the Adam because Adam looks like no soul inside the body. So, Adam is giving out his finger to receive the new life giving from the God.

Last but not least, there are some element shows in the painting. The first one is line, it shows organic line for curve to the human figure outline, mountain, and clothing of God.The is organic, it shows organic shape for the human figure such as body of Adam, God of Father, and angels. Next is colours, it shows warm and cool colours. The cool colours are blue, white, and green. The warm colours are dark red which is shoes the big cloak cover around by children and the God. The fourth is texture, it shows simulated texture which is imitate to the muscular shape because it is looks realistic. Last one is value, it shows are 3D value and high key value.     Perhaps the most noticeable part of this painting is Saint Luke’s piercing gaze. I believe this to be the focal point of the painting. His large gray eyes seem to looking to the right, not right at the viewer, his stare is slightly eerie. He is an older man; the signs of age can be seen on his forehead and the graying in his facial hair. Saint Luke’s beard is long, like you would expect of the time. It is very wavy and seems to curl in places. His head seems to be large which during the time this piece was painted was a common style toward the end of that century was. Saint Luke is wearing a vibrant blue robe like the types you would see in religious artworks. The detail in the color of his robe stands out. For instance, darker shades were used in parts of the folds of the material. The lighter parts are the outside, it gives the illusion that there may be a light facing the painting and the light is reflecting off his robe.     Another work painted by him in the same Chapel, The Tribute Money, (Fig 5) all the characters have different postures within different scenes. Viewers can very easily tell the storyline by just looking at the fresco. Naturalism is certainly the key for narrative story to Masaccio, and it helps him to transmit the emotional impact immediately with those realistic postures. Especially back then, not too many people read, thus a visual emotional connection is definitely a better option to inform majority of people what is the meaning of those scenes. On the other hand, Masolino’s Temptation of Adam and Eve is set against a dark background, which was well depicted before, but it had disappeared over the years. The two characters are parallel to each other. They almost display the same gesture and pose. Both of them are looking at opposite direction and showing a three-quarter view of the face. The body languages for the characters in both frescos reflect the understanding of nature human body studies. Accounting to Lilian H.     Many of the objects depicted in High Renaissance paintings were there for a reason. In “The Annunciation,” Mary is the largest figure and the main focus. She is shown facing front, with her head tilted toward the floor and her eyes almost closed. In her left hand she is holding the Bible, representing her devoutness to God, her right hand is raised, all fingers pointing up. Archangel Gabriel is on the left side of the panel, shown smaller and wearing the ornate vestments of a priest. His clothes symbolize the similarity between him and the clergy of the Church: they both share the word of God. They are both wearing very loose fitting clothing that have many folds. The Holy Trinity is represented here by God, baby Jesus carrying his cross, and a dove, often a symbol of the Holy Spirit. They are all connected by seven rays of light, flowing directly from God’s mouth onto Mary. The seven rays represent the seven days it took God to create the universe. Gold is used as a symbol to represent divinity (Smith). White lilies in a vase between angel Gabriel and Mary often symbolized Mary’s purity. Written on the vase is “Ave Regina,” representing the Hail Mary prayer. The Latin words written in gold are archangel Gabriel telling Mary, “‘Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus’” (Luke 1:31).
