The Circle Analysis

1. Thinking about the company itself, what is good about the community of Circle employees? They have a strong connection to each other
They value each other
Technologically advanced
2. What isn’t good about the community of Circle employees? Little to no privacy,

The Wise men are adamant about completing the circle, which takes away from sustainability (pg. 324) 3. What is just within the community of Circle employees?
They respect each other
They work collectively towards a common goal
Power officials are respected and revered
4. What is unjust within the community of Circle employees? Protective services are initial good ideas but are taken advantage of by the Wisemen (cameras) Going Transparent on government officials (pg.69)

Hostility towards leaving or spending time outside of the circle/need for devotion (pg.182) 5. Is the community of Circle employees sustainable ? Why or why not? Kind of, yes; in a dystopic, 1984-like way,

it maintains order by making it almost impossible to deviate from the government’s (Three Wise Men’s) norms.  (pg. 324) The Circle is not sustainable in that not everyone else enjoys flooding social media 6. Thinking about the world that is being shaped and influenced by Circle technologies, what is good about that world? Everyone has the most up-to-date technology

People can be (must be) connected to communities outside their own Few violations of rules or norms due to safety technology
Healthy and more intelligent people with access to better resources and information 7. What isn’t good about the world shaped and influenced by Circle technologies? That world can be easily corrupted by the Wisemen if they so please If they technology is to ever fail, they have little to rely on 8. What is just about the world shaped and influenced by Circle technologies? Everyone gets a share of that technology
