The Case Against Abortion
The Silent Holocaust
Women around the world have used abortion to control reproduction in many points in the history of our world whether it was legal or not. At about 1880 abortion was banned in most states. Eventually over time people started getting concerned of the safety of people doing abortions on their own and hurting themselves in the process. In 1970 New York was the first state to legalize abortion again. On Jan. 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down all existing criminal abortion laws in the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. Today abortion is still legal there are a few regulations, but not illegal. One regulation is after twenty-four weeks abortion is no longer an option. Abortion should be illegal because it’s murder

Many willing families would love and cherish the child and provide and keep the child safe. In 1973 before abortion was legalized again nine percent of babies were up for adoption. Since Wade v Roe the number has decreased drastically to one percent today. Going through with an abortion takes away the child rights of having a family. The child will never know what it is like to have to make a choice or laugh with friends or cry tears of joy. Having an abortion takes away every opportunity that child had. We shouldn’t try to stop abortion just because we think it is wrong, but we should do it for the child because the only thing he will know and feel is pain from our world. Instead of feeling the joy and happiness he or she deserves to take part …show more content…
Making abortion illegal may persuade people to go through with the pregnancy and put the baby up for adoption. To the people who say abortions are best for the child or mother, I see what they are saying. If the baby is harming the women and the only option is to get him or her out then some action must be taken but having an abortion just because people don't think they are ready should be illegal. All in all abortion is a terrible thing no matter what anyone says it is taking a human life and anyone who agrees with abortion is misguided on the subject. We need to do all everything in our power to bring abortions to a halt. Together we can stop Abortion but we must do it together and never stop fighting for what we believe is right. Let’s join together and stop this atrocious

Imagine a young child at the playground, slipping down a slide, swinging on the monkey bars, and laughing with glee. When a mother decides to get an abortion, that entire image goes away with a blink of an eye. What that mother might not know is her child might be the next person to cure cancer or be the greatest movie star of all time. The public is divided on this issue and they do not know if one should be pro-life or pro-choice. People that believe in pro-choice think the decision should be up to the mother. It is the mother’s body and she should have the right to decide what happens to it. However, every life matters and the child should not be in the cross fire of the mother’s decision. Abortion violates the child’s right to live and…

Abortion should be legal for one reason only - Making it illegal would cause more harm than good. People would continue having abortions, but it would be yet another massive government police state problem, like the alcohol prohibition, or any other prohibition the government has tried to force on people. Perhaps if there were, as there someday may be, real alternatives to abortion. And I don't mean adoption. That seems reasonable to a lot of people, but there…

A couple decades ago, when abortion was illegal, thousands of women died because they did not want to bear an infant and attempted to terminate the child 's life by themselves or with an unprofessional approach. After 1973 's Supreme Court decision, which allowed women to have the choice to abortion, thousands of women were saved.Imagine you have a balance beam. On one side you have the physical life of an infant and on the other you have the mental and emotional life of a mother and her unwanted child. Which side can we, as civil humans, claim as more valuable? Up to this current day, abortion has become an exigent issue that faces everyone nationwide. As a moral and ethical issue, abortion is a dilemma for society. Abortion was illegal before the 1973 Supreme Court decision in the trial of Roe v. Wade, but now that abortion is legitimate, women have the freedom and the choice to live their life the way they want to. Albeit, abortion is criticized by religious sects in America and some of the public, the practice of abortion should remain legal in the U.S. because it allows a woman to choose her destiny and prevents unwanted children. Abortion can save thousands of lives of women and thus, should remain legal in the United States.…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

There are a mass amount of controversies when the word “abortion” is brought into awareness. This dispute has brought about both positive and negative affects on society. Abortion plays a major role in the everyday life of a human. People base their political parties, and even the jobs they choose to work at, all depending whether the host is pro-life or pro-choice. I personally am pro-life. I have made the decision of being pro-life based on multiple observations. Some of these observations include you are murdering your own child, you need to face the consequences of your actions, and to give people who are not able to have their own offspring a chance to be a mother/parent.…

Abortion is a controversial issue affecting our society. At the present time abortions are legal. However, there are groups of people who would like this to change. Popular belief among pro-choice coalitions is that abortion is a matter that should be decided on by the mother; however, abortion in its truest sense is the termination of a human life. As a society we must set clear boundaries about this issue or else we will be ending innocent lives or we will face women having abortion as a substitute for birth control. Both sides provide very strong and debatable opinions, which leads to a frenzy of controversy. Abortion should be illegal because abortions are immoral, they contradict many religious teachings, and abortions are a large health risk to women.…

Abortions are frowned upon in society due to the disgrace it brings upon women. Donald Trump affirms this. Margaret Talbot quotes, “Since the nineteen-nineties, states have enacted hundreds of new restrictions on the constitutional right to abortion, from obligatory waiting periods and mandated state counseling to limits on public and even private insurance funding,” which means that many views are against it because it’s immoral. In my opinion, I feel that the reason why people oppose abortion is because they see that it degrades women. The government shouldn’t force woman what to do with their body. Abortion solves problems for pregnant women due to their situations such as not having financial stability or in relation to their age. Mandatory…

When a woman is pregnant the child has their own body, even within a month of conception, the child also has a beating heart 18 days from conception, this age is well within the parameters of an abortion. Another argument is that other options, such as adoption, are more expensive than an abortion. On average an abortion costs 1,500 dollars while most adoption agencies will pay for your basic prenatal needs such as, sonogram, your hospital, and they even have a 24/7 moral support hotline. Agencies also have scholarship programs to help you get back into your education. Adoption is not the enemy, perhaps it the side we need to be on, on account of accidental…

In “Abortions in America,” a study states, “…51 percent had problems with a relationship or wanted to avoid single parenthood (Waldman, Ackerman, Reed, Greenburg, Cutter, Sieder, and Lavelle)…” Henceforth, more than half of abortions occur because of relationship problems or the avoidance of single parenthood. So, if these women had their right of abortion revoked, they would have had to either leave the child in the care of the adoption system, file for welfare which may not help very much, or raise the child alone which could lead to mentally stressing both the parent and the child creating an environment unsuitable for a child to be raised. Thus, abortion should be legal to prevent this from happening more frequently in the United States and around the world. Moreover, in “Missing the Boat on Pregnancy Prevention,” it states, “almost three-fourths of births to single women began as unintended conceptions, and more than one-half of the births to formerly married women are a result of unintended conceptions (Hogue).” Therefore, to help prevent these women from having to deal with single motherhood because of unintended pregnancies, they should have the legal right to choose abortion. This is able to be seen when single motherhood can cause social strains on both the mother and the child but can also lead to family…

When a baby is aborted it is still in the process to be a fetus. The baby is tissue in the uterus, which means that the avoid would not feel any pain. Taking away the right for women to have the option of abortion would lead to more deaths because women would seek illegal abortions. In countries outside of the US, the cause of woman's death is 13% from getting illegal abortions. Before abortions were legal in the US, 265 deaths occurred in the year of 1965 because of illegal abortions. Abortions are against religions, but in US God and state are separate so there should be no religion influencing people's stance on abortion. Abortion needs to stay legal to save women's lives mentally, physically, and…

Abortion is a very controversial policy issue. Stopping the development of an unborn human being is difficult to determine whether it is right or wrong because every woman has different reasons to get abortion. The problem of this issue is that denying women the right to abortion means taking away the control women should have over their bodies. The most involved in this policy issue are clinics and feminists. What have been done to address this problem are court cases, rallies/protests, and ad campaigns throughout America by many different interest groups and clinics. I believe the problem of this issue is people trying to take a woman’s right to an abortion away from her even though she has a reason to get an abortion.…
