*show OH*
Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II – ruled since 1952 over the Commonwealth Realms.
A Commonwealth Realm is one of the 16 countries in the Commonwealth of Nations. Elizabeth II is Queen in all these 16 countries.
*show OH*
Over 128 million ppl call her their Queen.
She was born 21 April 1926 (80 years old)
Married to Prince Philip since 1947. Prior he was Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark. Today 85 years old.
*show OH*

Prince Charles is the heir to the throne. Seen with his current wife Dutchess Camilla of Cornwall – she is Princess of Wales but the title is to closely connected with Charles first wife.
The late Princess Diana of Wales, died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. Public doesn’t want the title on Camilla. She is the mother to the two boys:
Prince William 24 years old and Prince Harry(Henry) 22 years old, often seen in situations the royal family doesn’t want him to be seen in. Such as: Fancy dress-party, nazi-symbols
Technically the monarch (the queen) still holds all executive power – she is the one that must nominate the head of government (Prime Minister) that the parliament then agrees upon.
When a new law is suggested the monarch have to sign it before it is accepted, though no monarch has refused to sign since 1708
The monarch has extensive powers, but the role is mainly ceremonial
I think that’s all I wanted to say: Thank you, and God Save the Queen

In 1760, the sudden death of King George II placed his grandson, George III, on the throne. Approximately one year later, he was married to Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, a seventeen-year-old girl from a small duchy south of the German Baltic coast.2 Born the following year, their first son, the future George IV was followed by fourteen other siblings at almost an annual pace. George III’s first decade as King was not free of problems, but was fairly calm in the arenas of government and personal sanity. George III competently assumed the position as king and won, for the most part, the hearts and minds of his people.…

More attention needs to be on the part that Monarchies have played regarding the evolution of Canadian democracy. Many Canadians tend to forget the importance of the Crown, though they are not to blame as it is a subject hardly heard of or spoken about in school curricula and media outlets. For five centuries, the Crown has been a symbol of strength in Canada. With an extremely stable and responsible government, the Crown’s involvement is disregarded and forgotten. According to many polls, majority of the Canadians who are aware of the Canadian Monarchy wish to abolish it completely and would rather have a head of state from within Canada but, “Monarchy advocates argue for its continued relevance in parliamentary function and as a symbol of…
