The purpose of this movie is for people to be inspired by Michael’s story. There are some scenarios in the movie that are for the audience to feel sorrow for Michael because of his long journey without a home, clothes, and food. Some individuals might have cried at some parts of the movie. For example, in the scenario where Michael opened the room to his new bedroom. Michael said, “it’s mine?” and his mom said, “yes sir,” and he said, “never had one before,” his mom said, “a room to yourself?” and he said, “a bed.” There was also another scenario where Michael went to a Volleyball game and when the game finished, he was picking up the leftover food. This scenario would make individuals feel some sort of emotion because they are witnessing how Michael gets his food. To add on, Michael also received support from people who were not his family but they cared for him like they were. For example, his adopted parents, coaches, and teachers would encourage him in school. Michael’s teachers knew he had potential to do well in school but he did not have the resources to get there, so his adopted parents hired a tutor for him.
