The Beautiful Game of Soccer
Many people think soccer is a game of intensity where winning is everything but that is not always true. To me soccer is having fun. Some people have what it takes and others do not. Soccer is intense, but winning is not everything. Enjoying the game and playing the way that makes you feel good is truly soccer. Confidence is a key element in the game and I love soccer because, it involves a lot of running and skill, I have been playing soccer since the beginning of middle school, and it is a team sport. Soccer is the most played sport worldwide, many people love it. You can improve your skills with your feet, and get a lot of exercise. When I go to play or practice my soccer skills, I forget about all of the bad things that happened at school, and my personal life. It also takes my mind off of stress and drama. Soccer has taught me the value of respect and working as a team to achieve a certain goal. From soccer I learned about my strength and weaknesses but more importantly I learned the things I can do to improve those weaknesses. Soccer is always changing and, there is always room from improvement and not one player is good at everything. There is always new tricks and tactics to learn about soccer.
I am from Albania and my family and I first came into the United States on June 22, 2002 while the World Cup was playing at the time. I was twelve years old and started to become interested in playing soccer. I would always watch soccer with my friends and family at any time I was free but never thought about playing until I came into the U.S. Looking at my friends and family around me cheering for their favorite country was really exciting for me and bought me closer to the game.
