The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

This film was made in 1983 by Loretta Swift and it was based off of the novel “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. This is a short film which is only forty-eight minutes long, but it is a very nice short film. The film is based off of a church who has a tradition of hosting a Christmas pageant every year for the people in the neighbor to come and see and it has always been put together by the same person until an accident occurred to her that required her to be placed on bed rest. The pageant was then turned over to Mrs. Bradley to be in control off, but everything didn’t go as planned because the neighborhood worst children decided to be a part of the Christmas pageant this year and they were known as the “Herdman

In Chenoweth’s performance, she was positioned stage left, and had calm blue lighting in the background with a grand piano. Additionally, the main focus was on Kristin, the camera person had an up close view that had lighting that flattered her face. On the other hand, Hensley’s performance was distracting because he was not the main focus.
