The Benefits Of The Civil War
The Civil War was a devastating event in United State’s history; it was the bloodshed in which the most Americans were ever killed. The War commenced when the Confederates bombarded the Union in South Carolina during the spring of 1861 and ended with the surrender of the Confederate general Robert E. Lee to Union general Ulysses S. Grant spring 1865. Without taking into consideration the nearly 620,000 American lives lost, the Civil War was actually beneficial because it kicked off a variety of positive changes in the United States.
