Birth control is a way to prevent pregnancy, and throughout history women have fought to control their reproductive history. Three percent of women (ages fifteen to nineteen) have a child every year, having access would bring the percentage down even more. Birth control and abortion rates are high in the United States. However, the pill does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV. Sexually active teens should have the access to birth control because it helps with the thought of abstinence and prevents pregnancy. Birth control has helped tremendously in preventions of teens pregnancy.
