Some scientists say that man came from Asia, like the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas. And when the came from Asia, they came on land, chasing big land animals like buffalo through a passageway called the Bering straight. Now that’s only one theory, another theory is man came by sea, passing through the Pacific Ocean sailing with land in view. When they arrived, they needed to harvest crops and hunt for food. The people made irrigation systems to water their crops, and made weapons with the natural elements around them. These skills were needed to thrive towards a civilization.

I am going to be comparing the Aztecs, and Incas. The Incan Empire ruled during the 1400s. They were the largest Empire in South America, having control of the Andes, Atacama Dessert and even reached the Amazon Rainforest. At the Center of their empire was the city Cuzco. Cuzco was linked with other cities through a great network of roads. It was said to be “The finest road to be seen in the world”. The Incas constructed buildings by carefully putting together and shaping huge rocks to put them together into a stonewall. The Incas also produced fine jewelry, weavings, and metal work. The Aztec Empire was the 2nd in the new Americas. They started up as the Mayas disappeared. The Aztecs built their capital (Tenochtitlan) city in what today is Mexico City. The city was built upon a series of islands in a large lake, with stone roads connecting it to the mainland. In many parts of the city, farmers raised crops on floating platforms. More than 200,000 people resided in in Tenochtitlan making it the largest city of its time.
