There were many different forms of slavery all over the world, both within countries, using their people, and utilizing people from other parts of the world. According to the video, the Atlantic Slave Trade brought more than 10 million Africans to the Americas. Unfortunately, slaves were mistreated and tortured, but that didn’t stop them from reproducing. The centuries-long slave trade led to Africans being born in America, and although they weren’t seen as Americans then, they’re now known as African Americans. All in all, the Europeans gained a new workforce of slaves and a new demographic of people. However, to achieve all of this the Europeans traded their manufactured goods, weapons, and rum with Africa in exchange for slaves.
