Actually this book is a work book which is multi level series is decided for the students. Specifically the students who need English for professional communication within the hotel and tourism industries. This book also explore some of the world’s top tourist destinations with material which is taken from Dorling Kindersley’s acclaimed eyewitness travel guides. Consistence with its purpose, this book bring the working world into the classroom with authentic material from companies such as British airways. Beside that, it builds confidence in working in English with effective communication strategies for workplace situation such as giving advice, taking bookings and dealing with complaints. This book is designed in level of pre intermediate course for the students. As we know that this book is a book contains learning materials which is used in learning process by both of teacher and students, and it is also used as the resources of the materials and the guideline for classroom activities. I think that this book fulfills the needs of the users, gives a complete material, is interesting, and offers various styles to meet different needs of the students. The course book evaluation can be done before the course book is used in the classroom in a purpose of choosing a new course book in the class, or can be done while and after the process of learning to see the strengths, weaknesses and suitability of that book. This evaluation is usually done by the teachers themselves or the teachers can ask the expert for a deeper review. Language content and skills that are provided in the course book are also considered as the criteria of a good English course book since the core of learning English is learning the four skills; listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Each skill contains language content that includes grammar, vocabulary, phonology (pronunciation), discourse, language appropriateness, and variety of English. Therefore, skills and language content cannot be taught separately. In a good English course book, the four skills have to be presented in balance by using integrated skills in which the four skills are presented in correlation one with another. Besides, the materials have to be able to encourage the students to learn more because the materials have a continuation with the materials on other skills. In term of listening skills, the course book will be regarded as good book if it provides the cassettes just like the teacher’s book to facilitate them with the answer key, especially in ‘fill in the blank’ section. Moreover, the speakers have to be able to speak English correctly, fluently, etc. Unfortunately, the book that is analyzed does not have any cassette since it is freely provided in the internet. Yet, it contains some listening activity that are integrated into speaking and writing skills. In speaking skill, the book has to; at least, provide dialogue or conversation, or role play activity which is contextual. This book has completed with dialogues and role plays. In term of reading skill, this book has provided with some texts which are interesting, contextual, and also conveying new information such as the description of bear. Yet, in the in the dialogue given, it does not conveyed unpredictability in which all the conversation is bookish and unnatural at all. At last, the writing skill has to deal with paragraphing as what has been given in some activity. Besides, the order of the instructions in each activity is organized from writing words to sentences to paragraph.
