The pursuit of the American Dream is sought after by many. Most people feel that America is the land of opportunity. Because of these opportunities, America gives us a chance to make our dream a reality. My American Dream is to have a good career. Having my dream career is important to me because it will make my life easier, help me stay responsible, and will never feel like an actual job. If you love what you do, then you will never work a day in your life. By having my dream career, will make my life easier, because it will set me up for the future. A reason you need to have a good future is it will take some pressure off of you. The good job will make your life easier. It won't make you have to worry about your job everyday like some people. For example, in A Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine Hansbery, Walter Younger is a young father that wanted to own a liquor store and be his own boss. This means that Walter had an individual American Dream which was owning is own business and being in charge of his own store.
