The 2011 NBA Lockout: The Battle of Good and Evil

This year's lockout has involved lots of storylines, suspense, and most of all drama. That usually describes a movie but this flick has conflicting "good guys" and "bad guys." From day to day the media clearly tries to influence who the public views in which role. One day its the owners and the next its the players. Sure, the owners have looked greedy, and the formation of "super teams" has had the players looking the part as well. The funny thing is, the real good guys have made themselves look bad and the real bad guys havent been mentioned at all. I hate to give myself so much credit but it baffles me how all the so called experts have ignored the obvious. The simple concept is if something isnt working you fix it. Better late than never, even if it is 12 years later.

Dan Gilbert, Michael Jordan, and the other small market owners have played serious hardball and have "appeared" to be the reason a deal hasnt been made. All they want is a level playing field; a field where all parties involved have a fairly equal shot at coming out the winner, something similar to the NFL. NBA fans can look at rosters and easily predict who will be deep in the playoffs. Its always the same players going to the same teams which means the same outcome. Thats the reason since the Jordan generation retired the NFL took the sports title. The NBA is too predictable. But the players dont see this. All they see are the dollars and power they call themselves giving up.

The real bad guys of this lockout arent who you think. Its not Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Carmelo, Leon Rose, Derek Fisher, or even Billy Hunter. Lebron made a mockery out of free agency by leading on 3 different teams banking on landing him. Wade convinced the best player in the league to join him along with Bosh to create an unfair trio.
