Introduction
Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited is the flagship of Dalmia brothers group that has been in existence for more than two decades now. Before GHCL, the Dalmia brothers group ran the Golden Tobacco Company, which produced cigarettes by the name of Panama Cigarettes.
Later the opportunities were identified; the Dalmia Brothers Group began to diversify into the field of SODA ASH and later into TEXTILES. It started in 1983and commissioned in 1988. GHCL is the second largest producer of Soda Ash having plant in India, China and Romania.
In 2001, GHCL acquired a textile manufacturing
