Fully responsive homepage with more interactive elements then the current design.
1) Top Navigation: No changes
2) Search Carousel: Auto-rotating carousel that updates the carousel image, and topic within the search box.
a) Auto rotates every 10 seconds until the user interacts with the search box or hovers over the browse buttons.
b) If the browser doesn’t support the carousel, we should only show the first image with the first topic and remove the navigation dots below the search box.
c) Carousel will never have more than 6 images and 6 topics, but will always have atleast 1.
d) V2 – Ability to update the number of images, and the individual images and topics via a CMS tool.
e) tops rotating if the user scrolls past the carousel, and the carousel is no longer in the browser window.
3) Search Box:
a) Default text is swapped when the user starts typing.
b) Cursor should be flashing in the search box when the user loads the page.
c) Clicking “Enter” or the Search Icon will initiate the search.
4) Website intent
a) The animation of the infographic on the side is in the flash demo.
b) V2 - Both content and infographic should be editable in CMS.
5) Browse Buttons:
a) All buttons have a hover state.
b) Research Documents clicks through to http://www.studymode.com/essays/
c) Book Notes clicks through to http://www.studymode.com/book-notes/
d) AP Notes clicks through to http://www.studymode.com/ap-notes/
e) Browse buttons stack on mobile.
f) Writing Guide clicks through to TBD – not required for V1.
6) Feature Carousel: Highlights new features across StudyMode’s suite of tools.
a) Auto rotates if there is more than one feature highlight.
b) Only auto rotates the carousel is in focus and the Search Carousel is not on the screen.
