V) a) Macbeth
b) Ok, in this scene Macbeth perceives that his end is near, he is not expecting to be glorified but in a certain way, to be scorned.
c) Macbeth addresses Seyton to ventilate the burden of his heart as the English brigade led by Malcolm march towards the Dunsinane castle. The quoted lines betray Macbeth's sense of bitterness and disillusion. The battle ahead would be an either or event for him: either he would get a boosting by winning over his challengers or he would be thrown out of power. A sense of tragic desolation seems to have overtaken him. He resorts to the imagery of withering and degeneration(the sear, the yellow leaf) typical of late autumn as Macbeth imagines to have fallen into an autumnal i.e. terminal state of life. Since he has chosen to condemn himself, he would not be entitled to those natural things of life(honour, love, obedience, troops of friends) as expected by a man in his old age. On the contrary, Macbeth would be receiving deep curses from others, people only showing him an appearance of honour and respect.
VI) a) Macduff
b) Macduff has recived the news of his loss, how Macbeth has had his family murdered. Macduff is in disbelief that this could be possible and is in shock
c) Turning point in the play. This is a vital and important

In this essay I am going to focus on how Shakespeare explores Macbeths struggle with his conscience and what he says to support this. I’m going to explore the different frames of mind Macbeth was in at different points of Act one, Scene 7 and Act two, Scene 1. At some points Macbeth is feeling like he wants to kill Duncan, at other times he is not sure and at other times he is feeling discouraged from killing Duncan.…

Macbeth: “Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee. I have thee not, and yet I see thee still… And on thy blade and dudgeon gouts of blood. Which was not so before.”-- Is this a dagger I see in front of me, with its handle pointing toward my hand? Come, let me hold you. I don’t have you but I can still see you. I see blood splotches on your blade and handle that weren’t there before. Macbeth is hallucinating about a bloody dagger in front of him. This quote shows the reoccurring event of hallucinations and blood throughout the play. The dagger represents the bloody trail which Macbeth is about to embark. The hallucination could be because Macbeth feels guilty about what he is about to do.…

First Entry - After Lady Macbeth receives Macbeth’s letter I just received a letter from Macbeth telling what had happened after the battle, “I met weird witches on my way back after the victory and I realized that they tell prophecies. While I stood rapt in the wonder, messengers from the King appeared and announced that I had just been named as the thane of Cawdor, which was one of the titles that the witches had previously mentioned when they called ‘Hail, king that shalt be.’(Act I, scene v, line 8) ” Macbeth was really excited and there is a high chance in which Macbeth would perform deeds to fulfill his ambition, since he told me to keep the secret about the happening. I am rejoiced by the possibilities that my lord is going to be the King. I believe Macbeth is going to be king as he was promised. However, this would not happen unless I persuade him to get rid of his human kindness. He has the ambition to become powerful and he wants to seize the throne, but at the same time, he wants to be a good man and is scared to commit the sin. Hurry home so I can talk to you and keep you away from those stupid thoughts tempting you to failure. Besides, I was just told by a messenger from Macbeth, reporting that the king is coming to my fortress tonight. The news nearly drove me to crazy because I had no preparation at all to welcome Duncan’s entrance and to plan for the murder. I must be well planned since tonight would be the only chance for us to kill Duncan and grip the kingship. Come murderous thoughts! “Unsex me here and fill me from” head to toe with “direst cruelty.” (Act I, scene v, line 40-41) Come to my female breast! Turn my mother’s milk into poisonous acid. Make me feel no remorse and human compassion, which prevent me to succeed in persuading my lord. Cover the world with darkness so that no one could see my evil crime. This is my plan: Macbeth is going to greet the king with warm welcome in order to deceive all. Just leave all the preparations for me and…
