We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea.” [1]

Poverty is a condition in which a person or community is deprived of, or lacks the essentials for a minimum standard of well-being and life. Since poverty is understood in many senses, these essentials may be material resources such as food, safe drinking water, and shelter, or they may be social resources such as access to information, education, health care, social status, political power, or the opportunity to develop meaningful connections with other people in society.What's a good introduction for my essay that is about Poverty? twsweasel asked 7 years ago

I need to write an essay and I am looking for some ideas for my introduction. I have writtenall my other paragraphs except my intro and conclusion and I am terrible at the intro.

My essay topics..
paragraph 1- Introduction
paragraph 2-Poverty (Background/History)
paragraph 3-Poverty (Why is it an issue today?)
paragraph 4- My solution on ending poverty

Poverty is every body`s problem. In every success received by a part

of the society ,the other part of course experiences poverty.The meaning of it must be

thought to the concerned for them to provide and contribute a solution to thi uneven part
