Teaching aids: Board and pens, sheet of rule|
Learner objectives:For the students to understand the correct usage of the present perfect tense.|Personal aims:To encourage students to participate and work in pairs/groups|
Anticipated problems for students:Understanding present perfect tense|Solution:Use many examples as possible|

Begin the lesson by asking the students questions like, what are you favorite places to travel? What do you like about these places? Why?|Engage|5|T-S|
Hand out pictures of different countries/places in the world to get students interested. Students will be likely to comment the pictures when I ask the question "what do you think of these places?"| |5|T-S|
Give students a sheet of the rule for usage of present perfect tense. Go over the sheet with the students. Give students many examples of places I have been to and what I have done. Sentences could be like, "I have travelled to China", "In China, I have walked on the Great Wall of China for two miles." "I have been to Vietnam." "In Vietnam, I have eaten grasshoppers." All of these can be done by both writing on board and speaking. |Study|12|T-S|
Explain clearly to the student the formations of present perfect tense, and the way sentences are constructed. Have the students think of the questions,
