Technology and Society

In today’s world, technology plays a big role in our society. Everywhere you look, there are people with the latest iPhones or iPads. Our technology advanced society can have positive and negative outcomes. Technology has allowed American’s to communicate with people all over the world, but it has also made it to where we do not even communicate with the ones around us. I believe that technology playing a big role in our society can have some positive outcomes. Without technology we would not be able to communicate with people we do not see often. Technology expedites the processes in many areas of business and production. Instead of using postal mail to communicate with someone, we can now use faxes, emails, and text messages. Technology has had a way of changing society through time. The internet and phones are two of the major types of technology that has taken over the way people communicate over time. Computers has even changed the way instructors teach in the classrooms. Teachers today have to adapt to the different types of technology in order to help them as well as the students adapt to technology. The purpose of technology is to make things easier for people and make work more efficient. Technology can also have some negative outcomes in our society. Most people are so caught up with the latest technology that they do not communicate with people like they used to. Now that there is so much technology, people do not really know how to keep a real conversation going without it. So many people could talk to you for hours on the phone but when you are face to face, they cannot say anything. Even when you are trying to apply for a job, the applications are mostly online. There is little face to face interactment in today’s world due to technology.

In the society we live in today, it is hard to imagine how life would be without all this fancy technology. People who did not grow up in a technologically advanced society
