Horton Hears a Who! I feel that so often children are not viewed as equals to the rest of society. Their abilities and intellect are many times underestimated and opinions sometimes silenced. Children are human beings, people with amazing thoughts and creative ideas with a desire to tackle any task put in front of them. As a future educator it is my responsibility to encourage

child. I will make sure to evaluate each classroom activity, see weather or not it is effective and who has a grasp of the material and who is struggling. Taking time to evaluate how each one learns best will also be extremely important.
Early childhood education is incredibly important to a chi educational experience. During the early years of education a child learns exactly how they learn and how to like learning. A passion for learning is vital for children. Standing in front of a group of six year olds and start lecturing, and would surely retain almost nothing. Children love to play. So why not incorporate

(Mooney 2000, p. 62). Children love to play. When a child can play AND learn at the same time, they learn to love the experience of educating themselves. I want my students to be excited about learning and to go home everyday to tell their families about what they have learned. While a

Their minds are the minds of our future. Children who have a positive experience in early education are more likely to do well later on in their education and in their careers. Everyday I will strive to remember the theories of those I have read about, my code of ethics, and my personal beliefs about working with children. I will want my students to go home everyday having learned as much as they can, having as much fun as they can, and being as comfortable as possible. Children are truly a gift to society, with open minds and new ideas for our future. I will make sure to always cultivate those minds and to always encourage their growth, never to stunt it. I cannot wait to step foot into a classroom, to not only assist my future students in their education, but to also have them teach me in return.
