Tattoo Informative Essay
I chose the topic on tattoos because I’m really fascinated with them and have been planning on getting a few myself. I thought this would be a great opportunity to look into the history of tattooing and where exactly it originated from. There are many things that come to mind when I think about the topic. I could talk about the tattooing process, the different styles, the tattooing equipment, the methods used in different cultures/countries, the aftercare, the tattoo ink and what it can consist of, how tattoos are religiously viewed, and the purpose/what they mean. I’ll have to decide how I’m going to break this information into subtopics.
I found a few articles from Fox News Magazine, Smithsonian.com, and this website from Tattoo you to start

I opted to analyze the essay titled “Tattooing the Twenty-First Century” by a former 121 writing student. Tattoos in our current time isn’t as taboo as in once were. Tattoos are one of the many ways people throughout the world opt to individualism, with creative, meaningful and heartwarming self expression. In “Tattooing the Twenty- First Century”, the author did a very stellar job highlighting the reasons tattoos are more popular and, how the perception of them has greatly changed. The history of tattooing was also highlighted in the essay, which informed me how long tattooing actually been in existence. Overall “Tattooing the Twenty-First Century” was writing with great clarity, despite the minor spelling and grammar mistakes.…

The poem known as ‘Tattoo’ illustrated by Ted Kosser gives us an understanding of how one’s life can be so fun and enjoyable on the outside but on the inside of things it’s really and truly the opposite. The poem shows a lot about life and gives us as the viewers a brief introduction to how looks can be very deceiving and the perspective of others needs to be taken into consideration. Ted uses the simile “Strong as a Stallion” to give us an overview of what the old man looks like but before that he uses “A dripping dagger held in the fist of a shuddering heart” establishing the fact that he's an old man that’s been through a lot of rough times and deep in his heart all he wants to do is cry. Mr. Kosser reflects on the old man's appearance as an ordinary “old man thats hearts gone soft and blue” showing that even if he might look “strong as a stallion” and “fast and ornery” his still an ordinary old man whos been through a lot and deep inside his heart ache has been lingering onto him. Obi1Kenobi once said “your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them” which has been seen being used in ‘Tattoo’ and used very well giving us a good understanding of life, giving us the readers a life lesson that should be and would be passed onto generations to come.…

In the novel The Tattoo, which holds a captivating story following the upbringing and experiences of Kenji Hideyoshi, a new inmate of the correctional center in Hawala, as he shares his story of his hardships throughout his life regarding the “three suns of his life” family, friends and partner to his cellmate Cal during the process of being tattooed. i was thinking of using both but then decided not to as the quality would drastically change during the documentary. As my production went on my target audience changed as i didn't really have an age group just people who like and don't like tattoos as its about tattoos and trying to persuade people into not thinking that tattoos are the work of Satan. i also looked into why tattoos are so addictive and why some people feel pain whilst getting them more than others and its not just because people have different pain preceptors its also about if they are expecting it to hurt or not if they are prepared for it to hurt alto it wont hurt so much and if they do not prepare then it will hurt more than they expected it does also depend on where about the tattoo is as different places hurt more than other this is just because of the thickness of the skin ad the nerves surrounding the area. as the questions are going to be about why people get tattoos i first search about some of the reasons people get tattoos ti hopefully help me write up some questions to ask the…
