I tried on last one called Kids Info Bit, and found something. It contained more information about the Vikings stadium. It would be my third source which was another periodical. I also had the time to get its facts written down. To get an A, I have to do 3 more note cards which were my interview, one that was my choice, and a non-encyclopedia print. I was planning to do my interview when my grandpa came.

The Minneapolis Public Park Agency said operating a new multimillion dollar park by U.S. Bank Stadium is rejected (Dolesh 46t). The plan was to build a large plaza in front of the new stadium that could have game-day gatherings (Dolesh 46t). The city wanted to have this park to help their chances with having big events that include the Final Four (Dolesh 46t). It would also develop a new urban neighborhood in which would increase the population near the new stadium (Dolesh

When reminiscing to the era in which greats such as Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig played, and when men dressed up in suit coats, top hats, and neck ties when coming to a ball game, two distinctive ballparks come to mind. These two ballparks go by the names of Wrigley Field (home of the Chicago Cubs) and Fenway Park (home of the Boston Red Sox). Wrigley Field first opened its gates back in 1914, whereas Fenway Park opened in 1912. These stadiums have stood to survive the test of time due to their old-time charm and historic aspects. “The Friendly Confines” have been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916, experiencing all of the pain and anguish that has come from the “lovable losers.” This ballpark has gained notoriety and fame due to its manual scoreboard, its brick, ivy covered outfield walls, its view obstructing support poles, and its famous marquee sign. Wrigley is considered by many to be baseball’s best ballpark due to its long history, old-timey feel, and historic charm. Baseball enthusiasts everywhere make a visit to Wrigley Field one of their bucket list items. One thing that has set Wrigley and Fenway apart from other ballparks are the alleged curses they possess. Wrigley has become notorious for possessing the “Curse of the Billy Goat,” compared to Fenway, which supposedly possessed the “Curse of the Great Bambino.” Fenway Park is described in much the same manner as Wrigley for its…

The sports park is old and falling apart. We need to improve the baseball field because the bases are gone and the fence is falling down. Get a better basket ball court because the hoops are getting worse and worse by the day. The nets on the hoops aren't even there they have fallen off and the wind blew them away. The reason why we need to improve the sports park is because some people go to the park to practice for a basket ball game or baseball game. Some people like to go there and play games with their friends.…

CASE STUDY Forecasting Attendance at SWU Football Games Forecasting Attendance at SWU Football Games Southwestern University (SWU), a large state college in Stephenville, Texas, 30 miles southwest of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, enrolls close to 20,000 students. In a typical town–gown relationship, the school is a dominant force in the small city, with more students during fall and spring than permanent residents. A longtime football powerhouse, SWU is a member of the Big Eleven conference and is usually in the top 20 in college football rankings. To bolster its chances of reaching the elusive and long-desired number-one ranking, in 2005 SWU hired the legendary Bo Pitterno as its head coach. Although the numberone ranking remained out of reach, attendance at the five Saturday home games each year increased.…

I have never been astounded by such marvelous architecture until I laid my eyes on Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. Soldier Field seemed like a dragon, just engulfing everyone who was spectating the Mexico vs Bosnia game on May 2011. When I first laid eyes on the monstrosity, I was very intimidated. The thought of entering this behemoth marveled me and made me even more excited to enter and watch the Mexico soccer game that I was anxiously waiting for! Chicago itself is a marvelous city with hidden gems scattered throughout, like Soldier Field. The cold air of Lake Michigan stung my skin and felt like shards of ice piercing my body. Soldier Field, in Chicago, is a monstrosity of a place. Going there to watch a Mexico soccer game was like going into the eye of a storm.…

    Eco Friendly PPT

Developing an eco-friendly stadium or arena appears to be at the forefront of almost every professional sports organization. I believe in the initial design/planning phases architects and facility planners must take notice in the direction which the sun sets and rises. One area of concern is the purpose of constructing the stadium and what is it’s intended use and for how long (Ammon, et. 2010) Also, if the organization is located in an extremely humid environment, I would most likely construct a stadium with a retractable roof which would allow for the players and spectators some comfort from the outside heat. As Ammon has mentioned in chapter one, security measures must be implemented in the initial design process (Ammon, et. 2010). If a spectator feels that their safety is in jeopardy they will most likely avoid such large events. For safety considerations, I would install bollards that would prevent vehicles from approaching the facility within 150 yards.…

About 50,000 people could sit in the stadium. Away from the arena, most spectators had to find somewhere to pitch their tents or sleep rough, but important visitors and athletes had hotel rooms. It was hot and overcrowded, and the water supply was poor, at first not even a proper drinking fountain. This didn't stop people coming though! The Games ended with a feast. Lots of oxen were roasted in a giant barbecue. Traders came to do business, entertainers such as jugglers and acrobats performed, also politicians made speeches to the crowds.…
