Customer Profile Using tapestry segmentation, we found a large market of people that involve health and fitness in their day-to-day lives. The two biggest segments involved with health and fitness are the Urbanization group and the Suburban splendor group. The Urbanization group is identified as being the most affluent out of all the segments. This relates to our business, because in order to afford a luxurious membership for a combined spa and gym, you need to have a successful and consistent income. The community that is involved with the Urbanization group stays active by going walking, or jogging and they workout in clubs or other facilities. The Suburban Splendor group consists of residents of growing suburban neighborhoods that are predominantly white and 8 out of 10 of these families are married …show more content…
Looking into specific data to target the right consumers is going to be very significant in this research. A consumer that is always looking for the healthy option in products, whether it being with food, health and beauty products, or even supplements. These types of people who go out of their way to get the most healthful options are going be religious gym and spa goers. Why? Because, this type of person cares a lot about their body, he or she treats their physique as if it were a temple. Given that, this type of person is willing to invest a certain amount of money into activities, or services to promote wellness to their body, and even in extreme situations, pour money into these types of things. As researchers, finding out what areas of the community are interested in these products and services is feasible information. Los Angeles is a huge city and since there is unlimited diversity within it, so as a business, finding the exact location to place it is going to determine whether it becomes successful, or

    Looking at the demographic factors used in marketing Zumiez products, the stores products cater to men and women mostly between the ages of 12 and 24 who engage in the action sports lifestyle (zumiex.com, 2011).     I conducted five intercept interviews by approaching people walking through Carytown , a local shopping area. I spoke with four women and one male. Two of the interviewees shared their ages which were 61 and 74.The other interviews were approximately 25-30, 55-60, and 70-75 years old.     Obesity is the leading contributor to so many health problems. Obesity has been linked the top diseases suffered by Americans today. Obesity has been linked to such illness as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and many others. In a land where food is a show of affection, quick, or convenient is not surprising that many Americans suffer from obesity. Research has been conducted by Gallup's Well-Being Index, has narrowed the highest level of obesity to the city of Memphis, TN (Memphis Business Journal, 2012). While Memphis is known for its barbeque, the expense is at the weight of its citizens as noted by Newsweek. According to the article in Memphis Business Journal, nearly 30 percent of Memphians (adults) are obese. While 12.4 have diabetes and only y 51.7 percent exercise regularly. However, that number of exercisers and dieters are increasing in Memphis. Memphians have begun to forge a war against obesity with the help of local government. More routes have sprung up to accommodate those who run, walk, and cycle in the outdoors. A greenline, hundreds of miles constructed for those outside exercisers to have safe zones.
