Tanning is something that almost every teenager, woman and occasionally some men do. There are a couple of different ways to tan; one way to tan is to use the tanning bed, which is the most well-liked way of tanning because it is quicker. The second way to tan is by natural sunlight. Either way the person chooses they are positive and negative points about both. No matter which way a person chooses to tan, there good points and bad points to consider in relation to appearance, health and cost.
There is two positive points for natural suntan. The first one is you receive vitamin D from the sun. Sunlight is the best and only natural source of vitamin D. Sunlight supplies the correct amount of vitamin D without any problem. Vitamin D from other sources causes health problems, because usually it is not the correct amount of vitamin D that the body requires. The second pro is natural suntan is less cancerous. It is proven that people who live in regions with more sunlight have been found to have a lower incidence of death from ovarian, breast, and colon cancer than those who live in places with less sunlight and use the tanning bed more often. Then there are a few different main negative points for natural Suntan. First is that what you can do in a tanning bed in about fifteen minutes it takes you a couple of hours to acquire by sunlight. Then the second one is you can only tan in the summer time. Most women prefer to tan all year round because of vanity. The third point is UV rays. There are two different kinds of UV rays. One is UVA which is what can cause skin cancer. Then there is UVB which is what actually causes the skin to burn. Studies have been done to show that UVA and UVB rays penetrate in your skin and can even change your genes.
