Talk about your hobby, your dream, your activity you like most
Dancing is my biggest love and hobby. That is the best passion that I’ve ever gotten in my life. If I hadn’t danced, my self wouldn’t be as well as like now. I started dancing when I was 14 years old and my first crew was called Elnino. At first, I joyed that crew to find my friend, a bboy. He is my best friend when we were a little girl and boy. After I had moved to new house, we didn’t meet each other for 10 years. But day by day, I realize that I love music, dancing is my life and my crew really is the second family. Music remind me of what the noise of being alive is like. While i’m dancing, I will to be myself and know who I am. Before I became the dancer, I had been faint-hearted, stony-hearted, ugly and many people don’t like me. But little by little, I become more pretty, stronger, better and I have many new good friendships. I had found my boyfriend 6 months later and the next 2 years we were member in F.O.P crew together. At the first time, I was studied popping dance for 3 months but my mother wanted me delay to study at school. The next summer, I came back and practiced sexy dance for 2 years. From October in 2013 to now, I started practicing waacking dance.I feel the beat, follow lyrics and improve my skill better and better. Some dancers I like best is Ibuki from Japan, Wacky and 1G from Korean, Princess Lockeroo from American. I like disco, funky music, house music, dubstep and traditional music of Viet Nam, Japan,… Whenever a song I like was played, my lips singing the song, I’d find my foot tapping to the beat of the song without knowing I was doing it. With music I’m in other world, it makes my emotions. I and my crew’s member practice from 5 to 7 every afternoon, maybe later. If we have show, we will practice all day. Like a family,we share tears, smiles, memories and everything together. We have to face many difficull things from our family, school and other people, who has wrong idea about dancing. Lucky for me, my family encourages my passion. My happiness is perfomed for every people and make each events more exciting and better. My crew allways organizes many battles for dancers in HD and nearly area. We joy other battles too. As long as I am with dancing there’s no place I’d rather be. It’s is small thing but make a large part of my life. Now I’m a leader of F.O.P crew in HD city. Last month, I had become a trainee of CunCun crew, 1 of the biggest crew in VN. Next 10 years, I hope I will be a famous dancer. I will teach how to dance for many young boys and girls all my life. It’s the life I want to live. Dance make my life better. It’s something about dancing – my hobby, the activity I like most. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening.

The propensity I have for dance does not come naturally. Over the past few years, I have spent relentless time and energy in an attempt to perfect every aspect of my dancing ability. Although far from such accomplishments, I have noticed a steady trek of improvement as time progresses. I relinquish all insecurities and give paramount effort every time I enter a class; recently, a similar trend has occurred in my peers. The more I push myself to achieve greatness, the more they do also. I hope the younger team members have seen this ideal exemplified in me through our time together, applying this mindset even when I am no longer there.…

I liked tap because you could make specific sounds and change the sounds and how the sounds could interact with the music if done right. I liked ballet because it seemed to be the basis of my childhood and it is the basis of dance. A year later my flexibility was falling short so I began to do an acro class, and because of how my schedule ended up I added a hip hop class because why not? Hip hop I liked just because it was something new. I liked finding things that were based on ballet and changed to the instructor's personality. I enjoyed acro because I was able to learn and perfect new tricks, and I could still work with other people because we did a routine. Unfortunately, that was the last year of doing a dance because people never showed up. I also was in a prepointe class, which was fun, but it was really more of just an extra ballet class, which made me happy anyways. The year after, I did not have a prepointe class, but I did have an extra harder tap class, which also made me…

For as long as I can remember, Irish Dance has been my entire world. At just two years old, my mom tied my shoes, getting my triplet sisters and I ready for practice. With my aunt being the teacher, I grew up in my dance studio, making it feel like it was my home since I was there most of the time. When I would walk through the front door, the lime green walls would reflect onto my clothes and I knew I was meant to be there. The loud music would ring in my ears, and I would get ready to work hard. I could feel the vibrations under my feet and could feel the…

When I am dancing I just fell the flow in my body, the music is carrying me through the stage. My heart rate starts to get accelerated, my muscle are sore for the day before but I just keep going; my mind is unware of them. Feathery pirouettes till the edge of the stage, my feet are skimming deliciously the floor, my hands appeared to be mindless but somehow they are strong as if their only job was keeping an angel from falling. I fell my whole body radiating passion while trying to reach my own dance. Suddenly… a pause… I am not my anymore, whom I am?…

As I went out onto the stage, the bright lights hurt my eyes. My hands were sweating and the music for our lyrical started to play. For this dance I felt free. I knew all the moves and they just flowed out of me as I continued to dance. I did not even think about the people in the crowd as I looked to the back of the auditorium. With every breath another second went by, and before I knew it I made my last move and left the stage. I thought “first dance down only two more to go,” as I quickly got ready for the next dance.…

When I turned three, my mom signed me up for my first ballet class, and I loved it. Moving along to the music brought me joy and fulfillment. My liking for it has gradually grown into a passion. But over the years, I have also noticed a stigma for extreme competitiveness and perfectionism. Something that originally began as a form of worship has transformed into a celebration of the superficial and frivolous. Dancing often creates many concerns for young performers.…

    Dance Memoir

The atmosphere that existed within my dance studio was one so utterly supportive and positive, that my love for dance grew stronger. The girls that I spent hours each week with, became sisters to me. We were able to support one another in class, as well as within our personal lives. By spending so much time with such wonderful people, I’d like to think that I have become a better person. My time dancing at Miss Charity’s Shuffles and Chaînes has taught me how to love myself, and everything that makes me, me. It has taught me freedom of expression, and the value in making art out of what matters to me. It has taught me how to respect other opinions and ideas, even when they are different from my own. It has taught me the value in friendship, and that a healthy support system is the perfect thing to end a stressful day with. It has taught me discipline, kindness, teamwork, and many other valuable traits. The thought of leaving dance is one that I cannot fathom, and it is for that reason that I will try and keep it a part of my life as long as I see fit. I may not want to pursue a career in dance, but I can’t see myself abandoning something that has become a part of who I am. Without dance, I am not Taylor Ann Ruzewski, and I wouldn’t want to be anyone different that the person I am…

Lately in practice, I have been thinking about how soon my dancing career will be ending. I have been dancing since I was three years old, and in a few short months it will come to a close. When I see that the ending is near, I want to give every practice all that I can. Instead of just moving through the motions, I think about how this may be one of the last times that I do a fouette or a leap. One day I will just be a mom of a dancer, wishing that I was the one out on the floor. When I realize that it's coming to an end, I feel so much love and gratitude for this sport. I have had the opportunity to dance more often on the drill team than I ever could in the studio. Although frequency was what caused burnout, I am grateful for the opportunity that I had to dance day after day with my team. I am rediscovering my lost passion for dance, and I am grateful for the person that dance has molded me into. Being on the drill team has taught me to never give up on what you set your mind on, even when times get hard, and to never lose passion for what you love.…

Dance played a major role in terms of helping me to accept the move from Australia to Shanghai and shaped the person I am today. This remarkable performing art consists mainly of two aspects, technicality and emotion. Technique can be determined through numbers. It refers to how many turns you can do, how beautiful your arch is, how high you can lift your leg. Emotion is what makes you special. It cannot be differentiated through numbers or figures, but rather through how you express yourself and how your performance makes the audience feel. Dance took these two aspects and blended them together to create one magnificent performing…
