Taking A Red Sabaru Outback: 2028
EXT – SUBURBAN TOWN – 2028
The camera is following a red Sabaru Outback, children can be heard playing throughout the neighborhood. The car eventually stops and parks in front of a bungalow style home.
INT – LIVING ROOM – 2028
It’s the year 2028 and 89 year old MIRABELLA ROBERTSON is sitting in her living room knitting. The front door of her home opens and her great grandchild SAMMY ROBERTSON runs into the room. He leaves the door open behind him and the red Sabaru can be seen as well as his parents getting out of the car with his younger sister. Sammy asks his great grandmother about her life.
INT – ORPHANAGE BEDROOM – 1944
The camera is now in a dark room with 6 beds in it but only one person, 5 year old Mirabella who is sitting on the

Before Kyle knocks on the door Mirabella asks him if she could just live in the orphanage instead. He tells her that she can’t but it is going to be fine because he can tell this new situation is going to work. He knocks on the door and CHRSTINA MANNING answers. After talking to Kyle for a moment he leaves and Christina lets Mirabella in.
INT – MANNING HOME LIVING ROOM – MORNING
Mirabella is given a tour of the small but colourful home and at the end is shown her bedroom. Christina leaves the 12 year old alone and Mirabella unpacks.
INT – MANNING HOME – AFTERNOON
When Mirabella is done unpacking she goes to the kitchen to see Christina who is cooking. The two start talking and the scene ends with both of them sitting at the dining room table laughing.
INT – MANNING HOME – MORNING
It has been a couple of weeks since Mirabella has moved in, and it is now the first day of school. After brushing her teeth and eating breakfast Mirabella puts on her uniform and she and Christina leave.
INT – SCHOOL – MORNING
MONTAGE
- Mirabella walks into the school with Christina behind her and they head to the office, where Mirabella is given her schedule and her locker

She comes home after work one day and notices that Christina’s bedroom door is closed, after she does not get a response after knocking she opens the door to see Christina laying on the floor unconscious.
INT – HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM – NIGHT
A doctor comes up to Mirabella who is sitting in the waiting room. He lets her know that Christina had a seizure and is doing alright, but they should consider moving her permanently to a nursing home because if she had not been found when she was she would not have made it.
INT – HOSPITAL ROOM – NIGHT
Mirabella sits in the room with her mother and lets her know what the doctor said. Christina refuses to move to a nursing home saying that this was a onetime occurrence and it will never happen again.
INT – MIRABELLA’S JOB – AFTERNOON
Nearly a year has passed and Mirabella is sitting in the staff room at work when her boss comes into the room and lets her know that she has a phone call. When she answers the phone a nurse is on the other end and lets her know that he mother had another seizure while
