Take Another Step Don't You Think
Take another step up, don’t you think?
We chettiars have travelled to other countries like Burma, Malaysia in the early age’s infact my great grandpa worked in Malaysia his whole life before he returned to India. We are also well known as good mathematicians, since we are so specialised in accounts. Our people also made a big achievement by having a good position in India, representing the chettiars by showing everyone what we can do. For example: The great Tamil poet: Kaviarasar Kannadasan, the finace minister of india, P.Chidambaram and last but not the least, the famous AVM productions was found by a chettiar named A.V.Meiyappan chettiar from karaikudi. We can see that in india we made countless achivements. By looking back at our history it sure makes me very proud
From being in 75 places we developed ourselves by going all over the world. Ever where we go we could see nagarathars in the country: Australia, New Zealand, America, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada and all over the world. Even though this is a big accomplishment, did you see that we nagarathars who used to be so close to each other spreading away from each other without ourselves knowing? Even though we created sangams in different places, we should all get together to know each other more across the countries. Every one of us know that there are nagarathars across the world, but do we really know them?
For this, we can to create something that requires all of us around the world. For instance, a website for all the nagarathars in the world, where we can proudly present our achievements to the rest of the world, that way we can know each other. We can also create a private group for nagarathars in Facebook, where every nagarathar above the age of thirteen should be in the group, or we can add each other and video chat through Skype. Networking and internet is a one great way for us to get together.
Another great way for us to unite is through meeting each other every certain years in a certain

It is known for its natural beauty and nicknamed as God’s own country. India has a population of 1.18 billion (April 2010 Estimate) and 29 main languages. Life in my birth country (India) is fascinating as people from various different communities, ethnic and language groups, and religious traditions live together in unity. Indian population is polygenetic and is an amazing amalgamation of various races and cultures. Once upon a time was described as a land of heavenly life…; every man and woman who lived here was equivalent to divine beings. The mention of 33 billion manifestations of Gods in the Indian scriptures refers to these inhabitants of ancient India. It is a country of golden heritage and glorious past. All branches of knowledge and civilization are said to have emanated from the Indian Philosophy and Culture which were disseminated across the globe through the dedicated altruist endeavors of the Rishis. India was supposed to be the eminent guide of the entire world in pre and post vedic age. The scientific and socio-economic development here was so advanced those days that India was often referred as a “Dimond Bird” – a symbol of immense prosperity. The periphery of the Indian culture was so vast that practically the whole world was lying in its domain of influence until several thousands years ago.…

t has been sixty years since our motherland broke the shackles and unfettered herself from colonial presence. These sixty years have not been easy.Every day, every year has been a story of relentless hard work and perseverance of each and every Indian trying to carve out a niche for their motherland in the international platform.Exactly sixty years hence when have entered the eighth year of the new millennium and have celebrated our sixtieth independence day,we can proudly count on the achievements of our country. On the eve of independence the situation was grim and serious in the country. We were a free country but there were some glaring areas of concern.our per capita income was growing at a scanty rate of 0.5% per annum.Industrial growth was not up to the mark. The life expectancy at birth was barely 36 years. The literacy rate was shockingly low and we had more than half the population below the poverty line. Our country was looked upon with contempt by the west and India was considered a country that was totally backward which lacked in all areas of development be it social, economic or political. The condition was highly critical and grave and thus it was a real predicament for our countrymen to set things right and make a superpower out of rubble but the resilience and hard work of Indians deserves credit.Today things have changed.India is considered to be an emerging superpower of the world.Be it technology, economy or any other area we have inculcated the knack to master all. With the GDP growth touching whopping levels of 9% per annum and a booming sensex the economy seems to be growing at an unprecedented rate. There has been considerable development on the social front as well. The literacy rate has improved significantly with almost three-fourth of the population considered literate now.Health facilities have improved both in terms of infrastructure as well as in terms of skilled personnel.Life expectancy at birth is almost 62 years now.Unemployment levels…
