He finds that the company is constantly crediting and debiting accounts receivable. The accounts receivable clerk who is a CPA has been entering debits and credits on the A/R account on a regular basis, and at this stage they don’t know how many credits are valid or to what extent they are valid. Willie has also found that the A/R department is significantly understaffed which means that they do not have the staff and/or resources to verify the extent and validity of customer claims. Willie has found many instances especially in large accounts where the customer alleges a claim for flaws in the books received, and pays less than the original invoice. The CFO of the company has told the A/R department to effectively treat all invoices as collectible and “to apply payments to carried-over balances. The CFO has stated that the customer’s claims lack basis. The CFO receives a bonus based upon the profitability of the company. While this is a great program and has been very useful for our business practices thus far, our team has collaborated upon a recommendation for the implementation of converting to the Microsoft Access database. To keep up with the current growth of our customer base, we know that this conversion is necessary. Microsoft Access assists employees to swiftly record and account for information with the ability of Microsoft Office Fluent user’s interaction with its design capabilities that do not necessitate intense database knowledge. The practice of creating a group within a group and then performing calculations are far more complicated in Excel. With Office Access, one has the ability to link tables to his or her database from other Access databases, Windows SharePoint Services sites, ODBC data sources, Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft SQL Server databases, and other data sources. One can then link tables easily to generate reports; thereby, one can base his or her decisions on a more inclusive set of information. Users are able to share data over the internet on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. Databases are good for finding relationships in data. Immigrants swarmed into the United States with the distinct hope of opportunity. Big business was soon in effect with a newly acquired demand for raw material. Shortly, monopolies emerged. These industrial leaders, whom were ingenious to the game, established their wealth from the suffrage of factory workers, oblivious farmers and displaced American Indians. These leaders can not be considered anything less than malicious robber barons.…

As stated in our textbook; “human relations is building and maintaining relationships in many directions, with many kinds of people, in both good and bad working environments”. (Sharon Lund O’Neil and Elwood N. Chapman pg.4) When you think of human relations you have to think about the old sayings “Treat people the way you want to be treated” and “You can catch more bees with honey then with vinegar” So with that being said; if we work together we can get much more done by becoming one.…

I have chosen my “co-op log sheet” to be in my portfolio as evidence because it shows people how long I stay at my placement, the tasks I do during the week, and how it demonstrates that I am capable of attending the days for co-op. It also shows that I am capable of staying at least five hours or more using my personal management skill to balance my school work and co-op work. I take this opportunity to finish my work or help the teachers when needed. I also work on holidays for extra hours so that I won’t be behind. I can proudly say that I never missed a day in co-op which speaks of my good attendance and punctuality.…
