Survivor Persuasive Research Paper
If I was picked to go on Survivor, I would be probably the happiest person ever. I have watched the shows and have gain the knowledge to play the game. I would work out for about 6 months before I went on the show. I would hope they would have some swimming competitions, I know I would do the best on those. I have learned not to trust any of my team mates. The only person you can trust on this game is yourself. You have to be the biggest fake person out there just so you could get by. You do not want people to find out you are back stabbing them. You want to pretend to make friends with all of them so they won’t end up back stabbing you. First thing to do is watch every body, as in stay low and do not talk to that many people. Watch what …show more content…
They will call a merge. That means all the teams combine together. That means you are in one big team and now it’s time to defend for yourself. If you lose any competitions after the merge then you will have a better chance of leaving the game. If you win a competition then you will get what they call an idol. That means you are safe from getting vote out. Or if you feel like your chances of getting voted out are bad, then back at camp you can go and look for what they call a hidden immunity idol. That will help you from not getting voted out. If you make it to the final 3, then you have to convince the jury (that is full of people you voted out earlier) on why you are the one that should be the winner. Then the jury will decide if you are qualified or not. I would love to be on Survivor, I think I would get up to the merge at least, or possibly win the whole game. If I win the whole game then that means I would win $1,000,000. What I would do with all that money! In my own opinion, I would win Survivor, I have all the methods on how to play. I have seen most of the competitions before and they are not easy but do not look that hard. I know I could win all the swimming competitions. I would love to be in Survivor. I guess it’s only a

In Goldie Taylor’s piece, she noted an important concept in her experience: the systemic silencing of survivors. Our culture has denied her voice and that of other survivors, making them fearful of judgement or that it is their fault. The rape culture that has been created in our society makes it difficult for any person to come forward because we silence the survivor and culturally accept the actions of the perpetrator. The first thing that Taylor did that many survivors do is question how her identity and the identity of her perpetrator will affect how people believe her. She notes her identity as a black woman, and he as a white older man, a coach assured to be respected in their community.…

I attended a local Narcotics Anonymous meeting held at the Salvation Army building in my hometown. Upon entering the meeting room, the few people that were in the room did say hello to me, however, no one asked me why I was there. I was left alone to choose my seat wondering what was next. Eventually, a middle-aged man entered the room. I soon learned that he was running the meeting. He asked if it was my first time there. I told him that it was and before I could explain my presence I was handed several brochures and asked to read a laminated sheet when called upon. He quickly moved on with his meeting set-up duties. So, being a bit nervous, I chose to sit quietly and review the materials given to me. As others entered the room, I noticed that many were in probably in their twenties and then some in their thirties, forties, and beyond. Some were well dressed and others poorly dressed, coming from all walks of life. There were more men in attendance than women. It was obvious that many of them knew one another as they were having conversations. Some brought their small children probably not having babysitters or able to afford one.…
