Surprise of a Lifetime
Surprise of a lifetime The sun was shining in brightly and violently onto our pale skin through the small crack of the curtain that was left partially open from the night before. As I slowly began to wake I realized a shadow standing off to the side of my bed, quickly I opened my eyes straining to see this figure through the incoming sun beams. The figure moved and I soon realized it was just my husband Cody as he came closer I let out a long sigh in relief, and giggled a little out loud. He sat on the side of our lumpy bed and smiled down at me, he began with saying good morning and then rushed me out of bed and we started towards the kitchen together hand in hand him with the same smile he woke me up with. Urgently we stopped, and I looked at him with confusion. Cody with the smile that never left his face started to talk and was rushing with excitement “I have booked a trip for us, a trip to New York; we leave in just one hour.” And with that I was at a loss for words. Cody and Have been married for six years and the entire time have dreamed and wanted to go to New York ever since I was a young girl playing between tall Lego buildings my brother would make, dreaming of the business and rushed lifestyle and of course the fascinating zoos that my parents had talked endlessly about. As all the images and dreams rushed to my mind I couldn’t help but noticing Cody’s excitement and admiration of me as I began to turn into a young child again, I pulled on him and the two of us made our way through the door with giant smiles plastered on each others face. As I sat in the passenger seat of our Mazda I was shocked to notice I haven’t even packed or asked him about it! I started to laugh out loud and turned and looked at my husband “Cody we have no clothes, we need to go back and pack!” he just looked at me “Sarah we have clothes look in the back seat I have already packed our luggage for our travel” as I looked back I noticed my face getting

It’s the 19th century; I have just married Jake Luklly. He was coming back to Nebraska to tend to his parents farm. Him and my brother were childhood friends and my Papa adored him. When we were little children he used to sneak through the garden to play with my brother. His farm then was fairly close until they moved further north. Being the younger sister, I could never keep up with the boys. I continued to trip on my dress when they ran. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Mama scolded me for ripping the new dress she had just sewn up for me from scraps of her finest dress she grew out of. She saved it just for me. My brother and Jake never paid attention to me. Always left me alone to play with my dolls. Papa told me that they were…

My wife reads the paper with tears in her eyes in one quick motion she took the paper and teared it to shreds. She held a long gaze at me and walked out. Standing all alone in the room everything silent. Had I pushed it too far? Was she mad at me forever? I pray that such an event doesn’t occur. I wouldn’t be able to stand even looking at my wife with tears in her eyes. I just hope that she is as please with this news as I…

A beautiful woman slowly emerged from the room with her arms raised in the air as if she was embracing her moment and time to shine while the crowd roared with a deafening sound. With a twirl she acknowledged her audience and a bow that seemed as though she thought the audience was begging for an encore, finally, she turned her attention to the man that undoubtedly matched her own beauty. As she locked eyes on her soon to be husband she started walking slowly at first toward him and quicker as she got closer, eventually running to him in a dramatic fashion as if her lover had returned from war. Then, I smelt something, it smelt like the petals from the sweetest flower my senses have ever come across. As I looked to my left across the street, there she was. My future wife. They were so happy for me, they told me to go clean up, so I did. While I was combing my hair in the mirrior, I was thinking, what about if her family doesn’t like me, especially her father, which is Charles Dickens. It's 6:00, and I comb my hair one last time, and tell my parents i’m leaving. On the way to her house, I tell myself that everything is going to be fine, and I start singing my favorite song again. I finally reach her door step, and ring the doorbell. She answers the door, and she looks as beautiful as ever. She tells me to come in, and before we ate we talked for a bit. I told her a little bit about me, like how I have been a chimney sweep since I was five years old. I tell her this is my last year as a chimney sweep, because i’m getting to old. Then she tells me about herself, like how she has nine sibling, but one of them died when she was only one year old. We finished up talking, and went to the dinner table to…

I looked at the clock. It was only 8:00. I still had 5 hours left. I went into my black and white themed bedroom and set my phone alarm for 12:25. That would give me enough time to get all my things in order and drive the 15 minutes to the factory. I should arrive there right on time. I looked around my bedroom, suddenly resenting the lack of comforting colors. I have to admit, I was scared. I was starting the most important night of my life. Who wouldn’t be a little freaked out? With that thought in my head, I lay down, trying to get a little rest before I went and blew stuff…

After a long days work I decided to take the longer more scenic route home to try to make sense of why my boss had said that day. He wanted a different life a free one with not a care in the world. About ten minute from his home he spotted a man and the envy immediately build up inside of him. Stapming on the brake he stopped the car next to him and the hicter got in. He was following the sun from west to east with just a tooth brush and good earth for a bed. Mark was getting extremely frustrated and could’t take it anymore and let him have it once with the head and six times with the krooklock. Leaning across he let him out and watched in the rear view mirror as he disappeared down the grassy verge. He’d said he liked the breeze. I dropped it into third and sped off onto the horizon. Dusk was settleing when Mark realised what he had done.…

As I sit outside my porch gleaming at the clear blue sky, the sun peeking through the clouds down on my face. I take a long breath, taking in the morning breeze and letting it out. Today will be different, it will be a new beginning. I hear the birds chirping and the sun has risen. It's time. I run back inside my house grab the keys and head straight to the front door. I take a deep breath again telling the voices in my head that today will be different. I stroll down the road as I rehash what this day was one year ago. A deadly disaster, a heart throbbing story that I never want to be reminded of. I ambled past a group of people down the street, I hear their words turning into whispers and their ferocious eyes looking at me. The whispers are…

I woke up to Toby jumping on my bed. "Come on sissy, wake up! It's time for you to get dressed! I'm so excited!" I laughed, "come give sissy some loving this morning." He snuggled up to me and let me hold him. After a little while of snuggling Toby went downstairs to eat, while I got up to take a shower, dried off, blow dried my hair curling it. I put on makeup then walked out to my closet, pulling my wedding dress out. Patches knocked on the door, coming in to help me put it on.…

It was Saturday morning; the big day was finally here. I woke up feeling nervous thinking I might trip walking down the aisle. I ate cereal, and quickly put on some pants and a sweater to get my hair done. My mom had made me an appointment to get my hair done. I went for the half do hairstyle, curls on the bottom and flower curled bun on the top of my hair. Around 11am I was getting pedicure and manicure. Eventually, I was home to put on my light pink dress. It was a heart shaped dress, with jewels on the bottom of the dress. The excitement of getting glamorous was an awesome feeling.…
