When people think of America the first thing that comes to mind is the land of the free. We live in a country that allows us to pursue our own happiness with equal laws that protect us. Same sex marriage is a arguable topic due to the fact it’s nontraditional in our society. It is against some people’s religious beliefs. At the end of the day love is love and it should not matter if the person you want to marry is the same gender as you.
Marriage is about love and it should not be about gender. Two people that happen to be of the same sex should be able to come together in marriage because everybody deserves a chance we the people of the United States have rights that are protected by our constitution. Instead people should be more understanding; it does not personally affect them. We should support our differences because it’s so cliché but the world would be boring if we were all the same.
