Supernatural Analysis

Second semester of senior year I was in my french class and I was talking to one of my friends and she was talking how Supernatural is a show that aired on the CW network on september 13, 2005. As she was talking about I started to remember that it was a show that I saw talked about a lot on social media especially Tumblr. After a while I decided that I would go home and give it a chance and it changed my life forever.

The show follows two brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, Dean is played by Jensen Ackles and Sam is played by jared Padalecki. They grew up in Lawrence, Kansas with their mom Mary and their father John. they had a pretty happy life then on the day Sam turned six months old Mary was killed by a demon named azazel aka yellow eyes. From this night on John dedicated his life to find the demon who did this and kill all monsters that walked the earth. He took his sons and trained them to hunt and kill all things evil. he created the family business.

They hunt things that are called things like a Rugaru, Leviathans, and Demons now I know I sound crazy right now but this show is amazing. Season 1-5 life was pretty easy for the boys. All they had to do was find their dad and kill monsters but for the past 5 seasons life has been hell for them they started battling with demons and angels and satan and lost a few people along they way and made some new friends at the same

The ghost story gave me mixed feelings on how to take it from a historian point of view. The story was Mr. Fleetwood’s own perception of what happened and how he remembered it at that moment. I will cover the rationality of trusting the content, the justification of it being historically true, and if the metaphysical evidence of ghost must be true for the story to be historically true.…

Salem Possessed redefined the standard for the possibilities social history offers to understand the events and people of early America. Through a painstaking look at local records such as legal records, the Salem Village record book, the minister's book, and tax records Boyer and Nissenbaum discovered a long-standing pattern of contentious behavior of which the witchcraft accusations in 1692 was just one episode. Their analysis provides an invaluable insight into the social history of New England generally, and the factions of Salem Village that led to the tragic events of 1692, in particular.…

The main differences between these two works come in the motives of the supernatural beings. As demons in the novel The Demonologist are looking for chaos and destruction by possessing people that would be in contact with David Ullman, or these demons are trying to convince David the existence of them and the action of ghosts in the film The Sixth Sense are looking for help or resolution by showing to Cole Sear different times with no reasons to hurt him. These differences can be shown through the analysis of Dr. Marco Ianno changes, the journey of David Ullman and the relationship between Malcolm Crowe and Cole Sear.…

Adam Hochschild’s “King Leopold’s Ghost” is an account of a man’s rise of power who was very cruel and did unimaginable things. When I began reading, I wasn’t sure where the novel was going, but I soon caught on to what Hochschild was revealing. As the story begins to unfold he tells a story of King Leopold II of Belgium who managed to seize land next to the Congo River in Africa. King Leopold used political manipulation and lies to get what he wanted. King Leopold had everyone fooled that he was a humanitarian and he was in the Congo for the greater good, but that was not the case. He claimed that civilizing the Congo would keep out “Arab slave- traders” to gain support of people, but Leopold wanted something else. Leopold was very greedy, and his greed resulted in the slaying of millions of innocent people.…

On October 27, I had driver’s education until six o’clock. I figured that because I was already at Stevenson, I should just stay for Haunted High. I could use it for a cultural event or extra credit and I knew of a few friends who were attending. I have absolutely no idea why I possibly thought this could end in such a way that I wasn’t completely terrified. I hate horror movies, haunted houses, and generally anything scary. Prior to Haunted High, I had only seen one horror movie, House at the End of the Street, and I only agreed to watch it if my cousin told me exactly what was going to happen and when. Anytime I hear a scary story I will spend the next week or two terrified that whatever it was about would come and kill, hurt, or haunt me.…

The art of Ancient Greece has been imitated extensively since its inception. One notable adoption was the sculpture Dark Father by Genco Gülan, a contemporary Turkish artist focused on new media/digital age art whose work tends to have social, cultural and political connotations. Dark Father is a sculpture of Darth Vader's mask on the shoulders of Marcus Aurelius, a piece heavily loaded with cultural and political meaning. What themes does Dark Father explore and what tools were used to achieve this?…

The main thing is, why don’t they just leave? The answer in the best haunted house literature is, they don’t leave because they cannot. Something keeps them inside. When someone takes on a house they form a bond between self and architecture. Houses are where people have to go when they are trying to hide. This makes it all the more terrifying when the houses turn on us. Our houses are everywhere.…

“Supernatural (of a manifestation or event) attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.” The Supernatural was discovered during 1520-1530 A.D. The term “Supernatural” is mainly used when something paranormal appears or happens. The first paranormal movie was in 2007 which was named ¨Paranormal Activity.” The movie was about Katie and her family experiencing paranormal and demonic activities, strangely enough most of the family ends up disappearing without an explanation. Their grandmother ¨made a deal with the devil,” for money therefore if a boy was born on their side of the family they would all die or disappear. Shane Silvers is an American author who made his name writing several series of popular paranormal and fantasy novels. He is often described as a man of power and mystery whose mystery is only exceeded by his power. The Nate Temple Supernatural series of novels is one of his most popular works. The novels feature a young wizard known as Nate Temple who is on a quest to protect his hometown of St Louis from a variety of paranormal nasties that populate many novels that we have come to love from our childhood. Nate is a tough guy that has been known to steal Death’s horse, cow tip the Minotaur and sucker punch an angel. He writes about characters who express utter disregard for self-preservation and consequences that will leave any thriller reader cringing on the edge of their seat and bursting out in laughter. In addition to the Nate Temple series, Silvers is also the author of the Feathers and Fire series. Unlike the Temple series, this series is set in Kansas City and features a rookie female wizard who is…
