Hitler served in World War 1 in the Bavarian army on the western front. After the war Hitler became the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party and he tried to lead them to power in Germany, but was arrested. When he got out of jail, he planned on building up the party. Hitler wanted to reconstruct Germany on a racist basis so they could win wars and take over the world. Hitler thought that Germany should fight wars to acquire more land in order for more Germans to settle on the land and raise families for future wars.
