One of the most vital aspects of fire protection is to recognize a budding fire emergency as soon as possible, and to notify the facility's tenants and proper emergency groups. This is the primary function of all fire detection and alarm systems. Depending on the expected fire situation, structures and type, quantity and occupants (health care, business, residential, industrial, and day care), and criticality of contents and mission, these systems can offer multiple key functions to aid in the safety of the occupants (Department of Veterans Affairs (Office of Construction & Facilities Management) , 2011). Their first two functions are the most vital. The first being a way to identify a fire hazard as it transpires through either manual or automatic methods. The Triangle Fire was a horrible event which caused deaths of workers who were working at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. This factory was a sweatshop. A sweatshop was a place where people worked for long hours with low pay, and they worked in very poor conditions. People who worked here were there for the money that they needed. Also there was a policy from the government called the laissez faire. This policy said that the government can't interfere with the business operations. This was favored by the business because then they could do whatever they wanted to. The business could have horrible conditions for the workers…

When looking at the emergency incident responses system. You also have to look at the civil contingencies act 2004. The civil contingencies act is important because it decides who is under what category of response and how urgent the response is. This act gave a new definition to the term emergency. This definition covers many different things for example it covers terrorism and dangers to people’s health. This Act is split in to 3 parts. Part 1 defines the obligations of certain organisations to prepare for various types of emergencies. This puts a legal obligation in place to local authorities and the public services; these are called category 1 responders. The main job which is put in front of them is the job of informing the public of the incident in which has just happened. Part one is all about…
